Sing-A-Long-A-Musical Thank You

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the fantastic Sing-Along-a Musicals last night. The Village Hall was packed and the singing sounded great. Together with the apple pie sales and a generous donation towards the cost of the hall, we have made over £200 for St Michael’s Hospice. I think that is an amazing achievement, and to think I was worried that nobody would turn up! Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success, not least our wonderful choir master Dorian, our talented pianist, Trudi, Mr Diva himself, Geraint, and our webmaster Chris. Thanks Guys, I couldn’t have done it without you. (Thanks also to Margaret for the last minute help with the projector screen!)

We’re thinking that Sing-Along-a Christmas might be quite fun? Anyone up for it?

Emma

    • Andy,

Many thanks for coming along and glad you had a great time…
Why not pop along on Tuesday and you’ll find we have just as much fun at rehearsals.

If you want to join up to the site, send me a message via the contact form and I’ll get you added to the site membership list. You’ll have access to the members area and be able to download the sheet music. Just let me know (via the contact form) which email address you want to use for your membership.

Doesn’t mean you’ve joined the choir, but you’ll get a taste of the music we are practising.

Quite a few of us, me included, cannot actually read music, so there are also YouTube videos, a few MP3′s and Midi files which we use a ‘training aids’. Dorian is also posting articles on how to learn reading music for those who want to learn as we sing…

Andy! You HAVE to join, and all the other boys! We need you. Bramley needs you! x

  • von von:

Hi HUGE thanks to you all – it was great fun and fantastic to see so many people. Definitely up for the next one!

Really enjoyed the evening and thanks to all concerned. I’ve already told some friends how good it was and they are interested in coming to the next one.

One request for another time – could we include some Abba please? Since Mamma Mia was so popular most of us know the words by heart and it would be guaranteed to get things going! However I don’t recall any Christmas numbers!!

    • altogirl Emma:

Hi Jill, Sing-along-a Abba? Duly noted. We have plans for Sing-Along-a Christmas and Sing-Along-a Disney, we have also been asked to do Sing-Along-a Sixties… so watch this space. We’ll definitely be back with some more for your singing pleasure!

      • I like the idea of Sing-A-Long-A-Sixties (not that I was around then, being born until 67). But it is the music I grew up listening too (as it formed the basis of my parents record collection).

Heck, we could have a Sing-A-Long-A-Seventies except we could set up a “Peace Camp” in Clift Meadow. Hire a few tepees (tipi or yurts), sing around a huge campfire…

By golly I think you’ve hit on winning idea with these sing-a-long’s

  • Margaret Margaret Quinn:
